Designing the future of payments using crypto
I worked a software developer on the initial launch product of Chimere. We built the platform in such a way that it could be easily extended to support multiple payment methods.
The product
The Golden Bird by Chimère is a first of its kind Payment System that will enable Indians, Indian Startups, and Indian Businesses to receive money globally using Crypto and spend it locally using UPI frictionlessly. Imagine being able to Accept Payments of Any Size from Anyone, Anywhere in the World, Instantaneously for Free. The Golden Bird makes this Imagination a Reality!
Why Chimère?
In India, at present, there are 10 Million Crypto Users and 500 Million Merchants who use UPI to accept money for their businesses, and yet not a single application exists which bridges these two ecosystems. Users would be able to scan a UPI QR/enter UPI ID, enter the amount in INR, pay for the equivalent amount in Crypto, and the receiver will receive INR on their UPI. Essentially you would be able to pay for your daily needs directly using Crypto. Design
Various design elements were used to create a unique and engaging user experience. The elemental designs were inspired by the Indian culture and the historical significance of the Golden Bird.
An user friendly experience
The design of the app was made to be as user friendly as possible. The app is designed to be used by people who are not familiar with crypto and are not tech savvy. This will increase the adoption of crypto in India and make it easier for people to use crypto in their daily lives.
The Scope of this Project
We want Chimere to be the go to platform for all things crypto not only in India but globally. We want to make it easier for people to use crypto in their daily lives and make it easier for businesses to accept crypto as a form of payment.
Connectivity
Through Chimère, tranfer of money will be possible from any part of the world to India and vice versa. This will make it easier for people to send money to their families and friends in India and for businesses to receive money from their customers globally.
Vision
Chimère aims to achieve this through innovative solutions like The Golden Bird and The Blue Crocodile payment systems, alongside the introduction of the Chimère INR stablecoin. These solutions are designed to facilitate seamless, instantaneous, and free payments globally, enabling users to transact using cryptocurrencies or stablecoins with ease and without the typical constraints of traditional banking systems.
The Future
Chimère envisions a transformative future where cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are seamlessly integrated into daily financial transactions worldwide. By promoting legal compliance, technological innovation, and economic liberation, Chimère seeks to usher in an era where digital currencies facilitate prosperity, accessibility, and efficiency in the global economy.
Project goal
The Chimère Ecosystem at its core will soon be powered by Chimère INR: A Stablecoin pegged 1:1 to INR. Users would be able to Buy and Sell Chimère INR Globally using any Crypto or Fiat. In the future, Chimère will exapand this model Globally to bring other Fiats On Chain as well.
